No Zeroes

Now that we have our first post out of the way, it seems like the logical path should be to start somewhere near the beginning.

In the beginning, there was training...

When I think of a successful training plan, I think of logging workouts day after day while managing the load in order to establish a level of consistency.

No Zeroes

The term "no zeroes" refers to a training log which has at least one workout for every single day through a given period of time. The point of this is not force you to struggle through each day but rather to balance the load throughout the block in order to recover while training.

It is not uncommon to see periods of up to 90 days in my log without a zero. The exception to this rule is around key races which is when I'll post an intentional zero prior to an "A" race and I'll take as many as I feel I need after the any event.
